1 – Nebosh Health and Safety In the Workplace Level 2 Awards. (3 days training with Exams)

    The NEBOSH Health & Safety at Work Award is a 3 day course  aimed at anyone who needs to understand the principles of health & safety as part of their role including:

  • Team Leaders/ Supervisors
  • HR professionals
  • Facilities Managers
  • Those working with young people in a training environment
"Workplace Risk Assessment Activity" requires candidates to complete a 1 hour practical workplace risk assessment to demonstrate:
  • The abilities to identify workplace hazards
  • Determine the adequacy of existing controls
  • Make prioritised recommendations for additional controls
  • Determine an appropriate review date

The course consists of two units: ‘Workplace Safety Foundations’ and ‘Workplace Risk Assessment Activity’.

"Workplace Safety Foundations" covers the foundations of health & safety including:
  • Responsibilities for health & safety
  • The principles of risk assessment and control
  • Hazards and controls in the following areas: work equipment, transport, electricity, fire, manual handling, hazardous substances and the working environment
  • Assessed by a 1 hour, 40 question, multiple choice test paper

2 – Nebosh International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (IGC) (10 days of training with an extra day for exams)

    The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is designed for managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. You do not need any previous health and safety knowledge, however part of the assessment requires delegates to write a short report.

    There are no formal requirements for this course or certification.

    This course covers health and safety management systems, risk control management, identification and control of workplace hazards and the practical application of this knowledge.

  • Management of International Health and Safety.
  • Controlling International workplace hazards.
  • International Health and safety practical application.

3 – Nebosh International Fire Safety & Risk Assessment Certificate(10 days with an extra day for exams. Those who already have the IGC certificate will be require to take only 5 days class)

The NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate aims to build on the success of the National General Certificate. The Fire Certificate has been designed for managers, supervisors, employee representatives and those embarking on a role with fire safety responsibility and aims to equip holders to contribute to the conduct and review of fire risk assessments and fire preventive and protective measures within most workplaces. 

The syllabus is based on National Occupational Standards in Fire Safety at level 3, which has common units with the Emergency Fire Services National Occupational Standards.

The examination comprises two 2-hour written papers and a practical assessment. Each written paper consists of one 'long-answer' question and ten 'short-answer' questions. All questions are compulsory. The practical assessment consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace and preparing a short report.

4 – Nebosh International Oil & Gas Technical Certificate (IOGC) (5 days of training with an extra day for exams)

The NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety is a five day course designed specifically for those with safety responsibilities in the oil, gas and petrochemicals industries.

This course is ideal for those who have the responsibility for ensuring safety as part of their day to day duties, including Managers, Supervisors and Employee representatives as well as newly appointed Health and Safety Advisors.

The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore.

The syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international industry standards and covers:

  • Safety and Environmental Management in the Oil and Gas Industry;
  • Hydrocarbon Process Safety;
  • Fire Protection and Emergency Response; and
  • Logistic and Transport Operations.

The International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety course highlights the importance of process safety management in the oil and gas industry. Students should already have an underpinning knowledge of safety issues and (although not a pre-requisite for this course), may have already studied one of NEBOSH’s Certificate-level qualifications.
